During our study week the students of the advanced English course (EN1) focused on Canada, the second largest country after Russia. After a general introduction to Canada the students concentrated on their particular topics, ranging from Canadian sport to the German population in Canada. In doing so, they applied scientific skills of research.
A visit to the McLuhan Salon in the Canadian Embassy gave the students the opportunity to put their final touches to their presentations. The last day was dedicated to the students delivering their presentations and discussing various aspects of life in Canada. According to the students, the study week provided them with an insight into a country which is rarely dealt with at school.
